Nintendo Switch Sports – Golf Update

We begin this overview of Nintendo Switch releases with a great classic from Nintendo’s hybrid console. Nintendo Switch Sports, launched in spring 2022 and developed by Nintendo EPD (Entertainment Planning & Development Division), offers six sports activities so far: tennis, bowling, chambara (kendo), football, volleyball and badminton. On November 28, 2022, it’s the turn of the golf, already present in the series in the past, to join the title via an update. Fans will be able to enjoy this new sport alone or with others, whether offline or online.

The Knight Witch

Two days later, on November 30, 2022, the Nintendo Switch radically changes register with an adventure featuring a witch. The Knight Witch from Super Mega Team studios skillfully merges two genres, Shoot’em Up and Metroidvania according to the developers, the time of a colorful epic in the heart of a hand-drawn universe and threatened by the invasion of the War Golem. Moral choices are also on the agenda. The Knight Witch also lands at the end of the month on competing platforms.

astronite

Metroidvania have been on the rise for several years, and week #47 of 2022 is further proof of that. After The Knight Switch, it is a black and white title which joins the ranks of the genre from November 30, 2022 on Nintendo Switch, but also on other machines on the market. astronite is a game all in pixel art in which you play an astronaut, the last hope of the inhabitants of Nepléa, whose mission is to repel the armies of a mysterious entity living in the heart of the planet.

Front Mission 1st: Remake

On the same day (11/30/2022), the remake of a Tactical-RPG released in 1995 on the Super NES launched a noticeable assault on the Nintendo Switch. Square Enix and Forever Entertainment SA revisit Front Mission 27 years later, and offer new game controls and the fully orchestrated soundtrack for the occasion. Front Mission 1st: Remake sets its plot in 2090 as conflict engulfs the world. The belligerents here use gigantic war machines called “Wanzers” to fight.

Sword of the Vagrant

Never two without three ! November 30, 2022 is still released on Nintendo Switch, but also on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, an Action-RPG originally released on July 13, 2018 on PC. Sword of the Vagrant is a game developed by OTK Games and published by Rainy Frog strongly inspired by Vanilla productions (Odin Sphere, Dragon’s Crown, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim) with its drawn 2D artistic direction and its nervous fights. Note that Sword of the Vagrant will also be released on PlayStation 5, but it will have to wait until 2023.

Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered

A wind of nostalgia blows on the Nintendo Switch on the first day of December (01/12/022). After Front Mission 1st: Remake, a J-RPG initially launched on Super NES in January 1992 makes a remarkable comeback three decades later. In the facts, Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song (2005) was a remake of the original game, namely Romancing SaGa released in the early 90s. This version”Remastered“offers reworked visuals, tweaked gameplay and even new features for optimal gaming comfort.

Warp-Drive

We end this trip to Nintendo Switch lands with a futuristic racing game. Warp-Drive, developed by Supergonk studios, does not do simulations, but offers “arcade” type confrontations on the track. At the controls of your Quad Rotor, the pilots rush and teleport to find shortcuts and hidden routes. Between two races, it is possible to improve and customize your racing car so as not to give your opponents a chance.
