The Aprilia news
We start with the first interesting novelty signed by the Noale brand, a project ELECTRICa which represents the vision of future mobility according to Aprilia, thinking of the young people of tomorrow. It is a light and electric motorcycle designed for lively dynamism. ELECTRICa is a new result of the experience made available by the Piaggio Group, which has been working on electric propulsion since 1975, having also introduced several vehicles that have anticipated the times such as the first hybrid scooter in the world, the MP3 Hybrid model. The aesthetics of the project recalls the connotative Aprilia stylistic features, in front of it you can see an interpretation of the triple headlight optical group, as well as the tense and sporty features of the entire model. Among the solutions adopted, we mention a keyless system, an LCD instrumentation and phonic wheels in the rims with a technology oriented towards practicality and active electronic aids for a safe experience.
The dimensions are as small as the height of the saddle and there are both brake controls on the handlebar, facilitating the transition from the scooters. The electric drive is located in the central area and includes a final chain drive.
Then there is also the new one Aprilia RS 660 Extrema, which represents the lightest and sportiest example of the RS660 panoramic. Given a new series of components, the weight is 166 kg dry; a new benchmark in the relationship between weight and power which remains at 100 horsepower. It has a front fender and a toe under the engine with a new design, developed in carbon. The gritty vision is reinforced by a single-seat tail with the passenger saddle offered as standard and the electronic equipment always includes traction control, ABS cornering, engine brake, engine map, wheelie control, all adjustable. Furthermore, the new RS 660 Extrema also includes software that allows you to set the quick shift gearbox in reverse configuration. The gearbox can thus be configured independently, without replacing any component, in a road version or overturned for driving on the track.
The standard equipment also includes a new and light exhaust system approved by SC Project with a carbon terminal on the right side.
The Moto Guzzi specimens
The leading novelty of production Guzzi motorcycles is the new V100 Mandello, the model that inaugurates a new production course for the centenary brand. A bike also proposed in the S version, immediately recognizable by the sculpted, fluid and aerodynamic design, to which interesting technological solutions are associated. First of all, there is an adaptive aerodynamics, present for the first time on a motorcycle, in addition to electronic systems such as an electronic Ride by Wire accelerator, a six-axis inertial platform, four Riding Modes (Tourism, Sport, Rain and Road), an ABS cornering system, semi-active suspension and quick shift system. The engine is a new “compact block” twin cylinder with 90 ° transverse V architecture and liquid cooling system. Power reaches altitude 115 horses at 8,700 rpm and torque 105 Nm at 6,750 rpm, with 82% already available from 3,500 rpm. The limiter is set at 9,500 rpm.
Also in evidence Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber Special Edition a special version almost completely total black with large oversize tires, similar to those found on motorcycles that were driven on dirt tracks in the States after World War II. Together with the special twin-tone black and gray Workshop coloring on the metal teardrop fuel tank, which also features a billet aluminum cap, which is also visible on the aluminum side panels; there are also bar-end mirrors attached to the handlebar ends, fork bellows and a short front fender. The sound of the twin 850 Moto Guzzi engine is underlined by the homologated slip-on exhausts painted in matt black, with an aluminum bottom and with an oblique shaping at the end, according to the information.
Then moving on to Moto Guzzi V7 Stone Special Edition, this is a new proposal which, compared to the opaque colors typical of the Stone model, wears a special Shining Black color, glossy and dedicated. On the tank you can see graphics with red details that refer to the tradition of the sportiest models. The shock absorber springs are also painted red and you can see contrasting red stitching on the saddle, which is also specific. The set-up includes “bar end” rear-view mirrors and a black anodized aluminum fuel tank cap. There are also head covers in a brand new graphite color and the throttle body guards in black anodized aluminum. A plate on the handlebar riser highlights the special edition. Among the connotative aspects there is also an exhaust system by Arrow with Moto Guzzi branded tailpipes that favors more accentuated performance in terms of power and torque, respectively increased from 48 to 49 kW (66.5 horsepower) at 6700 rpm and 73 in 75 Nm at 4900 rpm.
Piaggio 1 for 2023
The technological e-scooter has a consistent chassis that supports dynamism and is immediately recognizable by the design and features full LED optical groups. The technological solutions also include a keyless system and digital color instrumentation.
Through the interventions made on the Power Unit, the electric motor that equips the Piaggio 1 range, integrated in the rear wheel, can now offer better performance to obtain a marked liveliness that facilitates driving in urban traffic.
Speaking of the moped version (Piaggio 1) the speed is limited to 45 km / h, being able now to have a peak power almost doubled, equal to 2.3 kW; instead the motorcycle version (Piaggio 1 Active) tap i 3 kW. A significant increase in terms of acceleration, which grows by 14% on Piaggio 1 and by almost 12% on Piaggio 1 Active.
Both models have a battery located under the saddle, which can be removed in a short time and transportable to recharge elsewhere.
Piaggio 1 is also the only e-scooter in its class with a compartment under the saddle capable of holding a full jet helmet, according to the information.
Various forms of Vespa
The colorful Vespa grouping includes the new overview Vespa GTS which follows the legendary “Vespone” with the body strictly in steel and wider. The specimen has evolved from an aesthetic point of view while retaining an interesting symbiosis between tradition and progress. There is a new “tie” of the shield, together with the metal profiles of the body in different finishes. All the optical groups are LED and there are also new side panels, a new license plate holder and new shapes of the lighting system. The mirrors, the handlebar which is now wider and the electric controls are new, as are new instruments with more indications and a keyless system. The seat is also new, allowing a better support of the feet on the ground.
Among the interesting aspects there is also the new front suspension capable of absorbing any kind of roughness and the more powerful braking system with the standard ABS and the rear wheel anti-skid system is also new. There are four versions in the range and different for the set-up and shades, a range of 14 colors; while there are two engines: the 300 hpe with almost 24 horsepower, the most powerful ever placed on a standard Vespa and a more compact 125 of the i-get series with Start & Stop.
Starting from the Vespa Gts, then, the new one took shape Vespa GTV redefined even with the typical references to its origins and with technological equipment and sporty finishes. The connotative low headlight features LED technology and the new instrumentation retains an elegant circular shape but is digital and allows you to use the functions related to the Vespa MIA connectivity system, proposed as an accessory. The instrumentation is associated with the handlebar via a cantilevered support and is surrounded by a small dome, defining a sporty vision. At the center of the shield stands the “tie” with sporty side slits and is equipped with friezes with orange edging. Also new is the design of the five-spoke wheel rims painted in matt black with orange channel graphics.
Also highlighted is a two-tone saddle with a single-seater racing setting, the rear area provides for the installation of a rigid cover in body color that takes up the fairings of racing Vespas. The cover is offered as an accessory and can be removed.
The new is also bubbly from an aesthetic point of view Vespa Primavera Color Vibe, a poster of the colorful world of Vespa. It has a special two-tone livery with the shell that can be upholstered in Impulsive Orange and Innocent White, combined with a footrest in Ottanio, a shade of turquoise.
There is a peculiar “spot” of contrasting color which, edged in black, runs diagonally along the body through the graphics on the sides of the shield and on the sides. The friezes of the typical “bow tie” on the shield and the exclusive wheel rims, developed specifically for this version in a particular metallic glossy finish, are also in Ottanio color. The saddle is black with anthracite stitching.
The set-up also features sporty black details, such as the profile that runs along the shield, the headlight and rear light frames, the spring and the front suspension cover, the crest on the front fender, the grab handle for the passenger and the silencer cover.
