Unique hydrogen hybrid architecture designed for high performance

Hyundai engineers developed a unique hydrogen hybrid architecture, featuring the hybrid structure of an electric battery in combination with an FCEV system, placed in an all-new design unique to the N Vision 74. The fuel cell stack, with an output of 85 kW (max. 95 kW), is mounted at the front and a 62.4 kWh T-type battery is mounted at the bottom to reduce overall height and center of gravity. The battery retains a 800V high-rate charging architecture.

Independent rear-mounted motors, one per wheel, generate a total power of 500 kW. This allows engineers to fine tune the distribution of power between the left and right wheels. The ability to quickly fine-tune power distribution allows multiple differential setups to be configured optimally for track driving of the N Vision 74.

N Vision 74 features dual cargo capability and the rear-mounted 9.3lb capacity hydrogen fuel tanks can be refueled in five minutes. The 85kW fuel cell converts hydrogen into electricity to charge the 62kWh battery. The battery also shares Hyundai’s e-GMP platform 800V battery technology with fast-charging capability.
