Celebrate openness, encounters, exchanges and the family atmosphere, all in the open air. Here is the objective that the Festival de la Côte d’Opale has set itself for this 2023 edition. From July 6 to 11, the FCO once again celebrates the thousand colors of French song in all its diversity with three headliners: Louise Attack, Matt Pokora and Benjamin Biolay.
The previous edition of the Côte d’Opale festival marked a record attendance with nearly 15,000 spectators who came to wiggle their hips on the Eperon site. A record made possible by the large capacity offered by an outdoor stage. “We cultivate this trend with a festival almost anchored in the port area,” explains Mireille Hingrez-Céréda, 1st deputy and vice-president in charge of culture at the CaB. “It is important to get together and highlight this family atmosphere with a large audience, to meet and offer access to culture for everyone and especially for young people who do not always have the culture of the festival”.
“The festival is also the desire to promote regional talent” insists Thérèse Guilbert, president of the FCO. “An educational component with young people educated in the Boulonnais and its music schools has also been set up. An opening also symbolized with a policy of preferential rates (€25 for outdoor concerts on the site of the Spur) offered to under 18s and holders of culture passes.
