DC Studios has shared its full roster of film and television ventures, under the auspices of James Gunn and Peter Safran. This huge lineup includes five feature films and five television series, streaming on HBO Max, and is set to take the world by storm with its captivating offerings.
Heading the list are two highly anticipated adaptations of Batman and the reboot of Superman: Legacy, due in 2025. The huge lineup of projects includes some of the comic giant’s most iconic characters and franchises, as well as some unconventional picks, a hallmark of Gunn’s style, as demonstrated by his work on the 2022 HBO Max series “Peacemaker” and the beloved Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” trilogy.

This made Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern of the Silver Age, and John Stewart, who first appeared in the 1971, ideal candidates for a dynamic friend-cop couple. According to DC Studios, the highly anticipated TV event series will focus on the two characters as they delve into a mysterious and menacing case.

The upcoming series based on Themyscira will delve into the story and character development of Wonder Woman, though it remains uncertain whether she will star. According to DC Studios, the drama will center on the origin and political landscape of an all-female island.
Gunn and Safran were recently named co-heads of DC Studios and will oversee the production of films, television shows and video games. Gunn is expected to play a role in writing and directing other projects. 2023 will also mark the release of a number of pre-DC Universe films, including Shazam: Fury of the Gods, The Flash and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
