Red Magic 8 Pro and Pro+ are the new reality for gaming lovers. On Monday 26 December 2022, the Chinese company Nubia announced what gamers have been waiting for for a long time, applying as the main point of reference for gaming on the small screen. A digital story, that of Red Magic, which was born in distant China, but which over the years has managed to make itself known also in parts of Europe. The next goal is the next gen, and the technical data sheet shown confirms Nubia’s desire to dare and win in this field.
Red Magic 8 Pro and Pro+: features, price and release
Red Magic 8 Pro and Pro+ are what every game lover is on smartphones they may wish. Many features, starting from the battery: the classic model comes with a 6000 mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging, while the Plus has a 5000 mAh cell with 165W charging support, with the latter Normal pro presents more RAM and storage options. As for the other options, however, the watchword is details, given that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with Red Magic R2 chip is present in both models. Translated: the sound effects, colors, touch sensitivity and tactile feedback during gaming sessions will keep players glued to the small screen. The screen itself is the absolute protagonist, thanks to the AMOLED model which has a 6.8-inch diagonal FHD+ with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the front camera commands respect with 16 megapixels. The rear camera is quite another matter, which presents the beauty of three cameras: the main one has a 1/1.57″ 50 megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GN5 sensor with 1.0μm pixels, 8 megapixel ultra wide angle camera and macro sensor from 2MP. A remarkable power with Nubia that has not been found unprepared even with regard to the cooling issue: both Magic 8 Pros have an ICE 11.0 cooling set with multiple layers of graphite sheets and a 3D vapor chamber with 2.068mm3 of volume, plus a side fan that spins at 20,000 rpm and a graphite sheet that protects the entire screen. Mention also for the 3.5mm audio jack in the upper part and a USB-C port for recharging on the lower one, without forgetting the hard triggers for true professional gaming. Finally, the release date-price combo: Red Magic 8 Pro and Pro + have been announced exclusively for China, we will still have to wait for news about the release in Europe. As for the price, however, the new Red Magic 8 Pro comes at a price that starts from the equivalent of around €550 and goes up to the equivalent of around €700 for the variant with 12 GB of RAM. For Red Magic 8 Pro+ we start from the equivalent of around €720 and reach the equivalent of around €990 for the variant with 12 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage.
