Pebble Beach hosted the world premiere of the DeLorean Alpha5. The car has brought the brand back to the market after years of oblivion and will be delivered to the first customers starting from 2024. With this sports car, the gull-wing doors and the rear window with horizontal bars are back, but the leap compared to the DMC-12 of the years 80 is huge: the new model is in fact an electric four-seater.

Sports electric. The project, which saw Italdesign again involved in defining the style of the car, as in the case of the DMC-12, was developed around the electric powertrain, but there are no additional technical data compared to those communicated last May: the sporty touches 60 mph from standstill in 2.99 seconds and with the 100 kWh battery travels up to 480 km, while the power and torque data are not yet known. For the moment, the price of the 88 units has not even been announced: the number is not random, since it recalls the speed in miles per hour that the DMC-12 of Back to the Future had to reach to travel in time.

In Monterey also the generational concepts. To give the DeLorean brand a greater historical depth, the new investors have even developed three concepts that would ideally have rode the success between the 90s and today, so as to create greater continuity and show the logical path that led to the definition of the futuristic Alpha5. For the debut in Monterey, DeLorean has thus decided to reveal the three prototypes to the public: the Alpha2 roadster, the Alpha3 sedan and the Alpha4 hydrogen-powered SUV.
